City & Guilds

City and Guilds logoWe offer the following City and Guilds courses:

5546: Employability Skills

Employability Skills qualifications are designed to support an individual successfully gaining a job, progressing in a chosen field, preparing the individual for further study and supporting the development of techniques required for successful independent living.

7562: Level 3 Certificate for Health Trainers

With a Certificate for Health Trainers, you’ll get the knowledge and skills you need to work as a Health Trainer – someone who works in a community to support people’s health and wellbeing with sensible and practical advice. You can play a role in reducing health inequalities in the community – and you will be able to apply your skills across a range of diverse workplaces.
A Certificate for Health Trainers is a great option if you like the idea of working closely with people – often in your own community – to promote better health and well-being. You don’t need any previous qualifications, so it’s a great way to kick-start a career in this field.

4227: Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce

The Level 3 diploma is aimed at those people already working in the Children and Young People sector. For example, you may be working as a childminder, day care supervisor, SureStart worker, community nursery nurse or as a learning mentor. You may or may not have some supervisory responsibilities. You want to be in sole charge of children, for example managing a room in a nursery.

4428-02: Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Business and Administration

NVQs in Business and Administration are for people who want to work in administrative support roles in public or private sector organisations, or people who want to improve their administrative and supervisory skills.

3565-31: Level 3 Award in Awareness of Dementia

Currently 700,000 people in the UK have dementia and this figure is expected to double over the next few decades. The Awards in Awareness of Dementia/Certificates in Dementia Care will help to improve health and care services supporting individuals diagnosed with dementia.
The qualifications in awareness of dementia and dementia care are aimed at occupational areas across all service user groups and ages, working in statutory (including NHS), private and voluntary agencies. This also includes healthcare/care assistants, support/key workers, family support workers and team leaders/first line supervisors.

4222-31: Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care

Level 3 is ideal if you’re a care worker, and you have some responsibility in your workplace. You sometimes work without supervision. You want to develop or demonstrate your skills, perhaps to become a senior care worker.

3599: Work with Parents

Get the skills you need to work effectively with parents, helping them to understand their role and meet their children’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs in family life.
