Who We Are

Gateway Family Services is a community-driven organisation dedicated to improving health and wellbeing by connecting people with the support they need. As a community interested company (CIC), we use any surplus to invest in the education, employment, health and wellbeing of our communities. Since we were established in 2006, we have worked with individuals, families, and communities across Birmingham and Solihull to ensure access to essential health, social, and wellbeing services.

Our Aims & Objectives

We aim to make a difference to the experience and outcomes of those people whose relationship with health and social care services is consistently poor.

Z

We test new types of service delivery models in order to evidence the impact of those models in improving life chances for poor communities.

Z

We train and develop people who have barriers to learning and employment to provide them with the skills to deliver new types of health and social care services.

Z

We will raise the level of expectation that people have of the services they need.

Z

We use experience and evidence to inform commissioners of health and social care services

Our Approach

At Gateway Family Services, we believe that health and wellbeing are about more than just medical care—they are shaped by social connections, access to resources, and the ability to make informed choices. Our approach is based on prevention, empowerment, and collaboration, ensuring that individuals and families receive the right support at the right time.

Person-Centred Support

We tailor our services to each individual, empowering them to take control of their wellbeing. Whether through social prescribing, early help, or community initiatives, we provide personalised guidance to help people make informed decisions.

Community-Driven Solutions

Strong communities shape better health. We collaborate with local partners, healthcare professionals, and grassroots organisations to build lasting support networks that extend beyond our direct services.

Prevention and Early Intervention

By offering timely guidance and support, we help individuals and families address challenges before they escalate, reducing the need for more intensive interventions.

Holistic and Inclusive Approach

Wellbeing is shaped by multiple factors, from housing to emotional health. We provide accessible, tailored support that considers the full picture, ensuring inclusivity for all.

Continuous Improvement

We evolve with the needs of our community, using feedback, research, and collaboration to refine our approach and maximise our impact.
