Birmingham Fun Run. Race to lose weight and improve health

3rd August 2012

Here at Gateway our Health Trainer service encounter lots of people who are trying to lose weight. This could be for lots of different reasons. For some it’s lifestyle choice, for others it’s because of a serious risk to their health through illness such as diabetes.

It is well known that losing weight could prevent you from developing diabetes, or help you to better manage your disease if you have already been diagnosed and this is why some users of our Health Trainer services opted to join us on our Fun Run in Canon Hill Park.

Charlene and Immaculate are both diabetic, we caught up with them at the run to ask them why they we’re taking part and what they thought of our “Lighten Up” weight loss programme.
