Health Trainers and Lighten Up complete 5k fun run

Well done to everyone who took part in the first ever Gateway Fun Run/Walk. We had over 60 people join us. Most had come through the Health Trainer and Lighten Up service, volunteers came from the Cardio-Rehab programme too. The sun shone and everyone completed, at their own pace. Many people had been on a life-changing journey to get to this point, and for others the journey was just beginning. Many of our amazing people shared their stories with us and we will be publishing them on the blogs shortly. What a fantastic day and some wonderful achievements, well done to them and to the Health Trainers, Lighten Up staff and Gateway Volunteers…

    I’ve been hearing some fantastic feedback on the run this weekend. From the invigorating exercise warm up to the high volume of enthusiastic participants, we all say a big “well done” Richard and all those who supported him to make the Gateway Fun run such a great success.
