Start
We were founded in 2006 and aimed to reduce health inequality; while we believe we have played a key role, we look around and see there is still much to do, so we are more relevant now than ever.
We began work recruiting and training female community workers at start.
Development
Led to the development of paraprofessional roles.
Achievement
We gained two of our largest and longest contract-running POWS and Healthy health worker

Launched skills escalator and west midland PCT apprentice programme

Lighten up pilot we’ve been running got commissioned citywide.

Appointed as one of Birmingham NNS area facilitators.

Our MVP work broadened. We are the facilitator of MVPs for Birmingham, Solihull and in 2022, our role in Sandwell and West Birmingham was expanded to the whole BlackCountry.
