Meet the Trainers


Reshma ChudasamaReshma, a fully qualified Health Trainer, Health Promoter and Level 3 Personal Trainer, is a positive person with a calming influence. Highly organised and very professional, she is very skilled at developing action plans and interventions for her clients. Reshma finds running the best way to relieve stress and enjoys running through the city streets and parks of her hometown Birmingham. She admits that running has given her tremendous confidence and she is passionate about inspiring others to build their own confidence levels.

Reshma is currently working on a clinical research Trial at the University of Birmingham, working with patients with Vasculitis, and she delivers exercise intervention sessions based on cognitive behavioural strategies.


Richard MackenzieRichard, Level 3 qualified fitness instructor, has over 15 years’ experience in different exercise disciplines, including body weight exercise, weight lifting, CrossFit, martial arts, Thai boxing, and running. As a Health Trainer with Gateway for eight years, Richard supported his clients to make lifestyle changes and was particularly specialised in helping people with diabetes, high blood pressure and chronic fatigue syndrome. He is a great motivator and inspires his clients to fulfil their personal goals and dreams.

Richard has been a pescatarian for the past six years; nutrition is very important to him and he is passionate about creating and eating healthy and nutritious foods.


Tina LakeruTina has over 20 years’ experience in the sports, fitness and leisure industry. She has a degree in Sports & Leisure Management and is a qualified Personal Trainer. Tina has worked in a number of corporate gyms as well as leisure centres, primary and secondary schools and various youth projects delivering sports and fitness sessions. She is a qualified coach in boxing, dodgeball, football, handball and volleyball, and is qualified to teach classes in aerobics, body toning, fitness kickboxing, freestyle fitness yoga, Pilates, Reebok Cycle and step aerobics, to name just a few!

In her spare time, Tina enjoys reading, word games, and of course all sports – she has taken part regularly in the London to Brighton Bike Ride and Race for Life. Tina has a calming presence and is a fount of knowledge when it comes to all things fitness related.
