Volunteer befrienders wanted

15th January 2014

Gateway Family Services are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and committed volunteers to join our exciting Big Lottery Funded Volunteer Befriending Programme.

Big Lottery Fund logoAll we ask is that you are willing to commit to at least 3 hours per week and want to help people by offering emotional support, a listening ear and assisting with day-to-day activities.

To find out more about the sort of support our befrienders give to people, read our blog post Volunteering – good for everyone.

Full training and expenses will be met by Gateway Family Services. We will also support you to complete a recognised qualification in Employability and Personal Development Level 1 which will form part of your volunteering training – which will look great on your CV and really enhance your future prospects.
